I've been...[Considering this, actually.] To be honest, I've found my life mildly bewildering of late. Being asked to go on thirteen dates for the sake of a garden is the least of it.

[Tracing a finger around the rim of whatever beverage cup they've been given, it's probably a mug, given henwen's aesthetic.]

There's much to worry about.

Worrying ill suits our current predicament. I thought us captives, but in reality we are more entertainers. We simply must play our parts - and find creative ways to turn that to our own advantage.

And I don't worry that I'll be able to play the role I've been given, but...

...Well, it's really not a discussion we need to have right now, is it? To be honest, if they're all still lively to make fun of my apparent tastes, I'm sure my team will manage.

Your team is a treasure, in the that regard. Mine seems to be a revolving door of dour-faced folks... Perhaps it will soon stabilize. It is neither here nor there for the moment.

Keep that up and I'm just going to add you to the list of people Henwen's adopted. Or perhaps just tell Citrine and Sunstone to make their best effort to throw a party for Ratatoskr.

I have done quite well in making it so far, I had no intention of stopping, even if I find some parts detestable.

Other parts, however... quite agreeable.

That's what I want to here, regardless. Doubt and despair seems to be truly our greatest enemy.

The whole damned thing seems built to foster those. Yet, I believe we may be able to stem that tide, if our teams should ever sort out...

Isn't that what allies are for? We needn't rely only on the people dressed in the same color we are.

Allies are rarer here than anything else, but... It is true. And I am blessed to have the ones that I do.

You'd make them blush, talking like that! [Look, she even already is.]

I only wish to help, even if it's in some small way. Even if there are different teams, aren't we all trying to achieve the same goal?

Your willingness to hear me out, let alone invite me on this date, such as it is, is more than I could have asked for.

Normally, the fact that this feels completely natural and familiar would be mildly alarming but she's not paying attention to that.]

I can honestly tell you, it's been my pleasure. To be honest, I didn't even consider asking any of the rest of Ratatoskr. I'd have been in trouble if you'd said no.

You would have been in dire straights, given how many of my teammates seem to be perpetually embittered teenagers.

[He seems content to just hold her hand and have this human connection for the moment.]

They're teenagers, being bitter is practically their job.

[She laughs.] Besides, they can't possibly give me any more shit than my teammates do. I think the actual teenagers on Henwen give me less sass than Silver.

Well, to a certain extent, I believe that willingness to express one's opinions is the sign of a healthy team. I just wish mine wasn't so self-absorbed in their gloom.
