BUT YOU'RE MARRIED TO OBSIDIAN, SILVER, WE CAN NEVER BE--
Okay but seriously now. Silver's v. important to Carnelian! She likes all of Henwen a lot, but Silver in particular stands out because he explained things to her...and in general, she feels like she can rely on him without having to be An Adult all the time. He's fun to tease and just hang out with, and she's genuinely happy he and Obsidian actually took and acted on her advice!
She doesn't have the memories yet, but that point about her not having to be an Adult with him is actually hella important--she can rely on him to have her back just by being Carnelian. Right now, it's just a low-grade instinctual warmfuzzy, but as the relevant memories return, Silverdere will start getting boosts like woah.
Also her taste in men and facial hair is just fine thank you.
Carnelian is really, really attached to Henwen. One of the things I'm trying to work in to playing her is that, even without memories, Carnelian still has a sense of needing to belong and take care of a group of people, and Henwen fills in that slot neatly. It especially helps that she basically got immediately rolled into Henwen's dere katamari, so she's got a lot more dere for henwen in a short amount of time than she would normally.
As for Natalie, she doesn't know her as well as, say, Obsidian or Silver, and she tends to think of her in the same bin as Citrine and Copper - Noncombatants that must be protected. That said, she thinks the levelheadedness is something Henwen needs, and she likes Natalie, even if she's not...always entirely sure what to do with her memories, girl do you need hugs, she can do hugs.
Citrine first because Henwen dere, but oh god tiny child must protect about sums it up. She understands Citrine's young, and so see things in much more idealistic ways and while she doesn't want to disabuse her of the notion that everything can turn out right (because she's a JRPG and will beat the world until it actually works that way), she worries, especially now after Isa's heart, that Citrine's ideals will end up getting her way more psychologically damaged by the bad games. As such, she's probably going to try and make Citrine take people with her to games, always--until she can predict bad games, they have to do what they can to keep her protected.
As for Nightingale, Carnelian thinks she's a good person...with no spine and way too noncombative for the problems Kyr gives them. She vehemently disagrees with the notion that there's no point to fighting the Echoes and they should just keep their heads down, but she's not going to force Nightingale to fight either. She's just...going to do it without her.
She's basically adopted Sunstone, partially because his memories have brought her to the conclusion he needs adults in his life that aren't completely awful to him, and also because he's friggin' adorable.
After the heart, though, there's an extra layer of this--she feels incredibly bad for leaving him behind, and she's also really distressed that someone who's basically a child would be willing to sacrifice himself like it wasn't a big deal. She doesn't know how to approach the latter, but as soon as she calms down she probably is going to ask him what the fuck.
IT'S OK BECAUSE HE'LL JUST COME BACK TO LIFE??? HE'S DIED TWICE HERE BEFORE IT JUST KIND OF HURT REALLY BAD
but god he actually feels really bad for this, especially because he does like Carnelian a lot and is starting to realize 'huh maybe this is the kind of person Zero should've been' and he just kind of straight up lied to her and made her watch him die
CARNELIAN DOESN'T KNOW TORA THAT WELL but she does fall under the 'tiny child must protect' banner because, well. She is tiny and Carnelian doesn't know from Ariettas.
Songbird has an even stronger small child dere, but is less about protecting and more about wanting to help her get strong enough to protect everyone, even from the bad games she doesn't like.
But he doesn't seem as...goofy so things are a little more serious around him? If that makes sense. This will all probably vanish into vodka when they do get to drinking.
I'm too lazy to switch journals so answering on this one but--I WON'T BE ENTIRELY SURE UNTIL THE AFTERMATH OF THE HEARTS BUT
she both really...really wants to take Obsidian and hide him from his world because oh god no and also...she feels so guilty about not saving sunstone she's gonna be like. Really subdued. On some level she feels like Obsidian is counting on her and silver to protect the rest of henwen so she. feels bad for failing.
I'm sorry Carnelian the feeling is probably only to get worse over time because his childhood was terrible. And she might...get very upset at some of his locked signegs sob sob sob
Also no he wouldn't even blame you, if anything he'd beat himself up over it a little because while Isa heart was happening he's been in Roxy heart tidying up a room ha...ha.........
