Memory: NeuTriv; The Red in Her Haqir
Regained: Day 130, Wilder the Trickster
Summary: Bar Bets have consequences.

"Sen...Senah'ra, don't you hide behind him now!" The catboy she's watching peers out from behind [Axe], and frowns at her, deeply. In some sense, she suspects he'd be sticking his tongue out at her if he were any less reserved.

"Listen, you're going to end up learning about bar bets sometime, and I'd rather it be from me, so sit down." He does, after a moment, and [Axe] takes one of the other seats. This time of day, the Drowning Wench isn't quite at full-swing, but there's plenty of activity to keep them from getting all the attention. She leans back in her chair, turning back to wave at the waitress near the bar so she can see them, and then turns back, to dig in her pockets for a deck of cards.

"Now, bar bet doesn't have to be cards, but it's always something someone can clearly win." She shuffles, deals, and ignores the eyeroll from the bearded jackass to her left.

"Are you going to explain it like a formula, Rosie? That defeats the point."

"Would you rather--" She cuts herself off, breathes deep. No, don't lose your temper, you're a captain now, she reminds herself. "Fine. Then let me lay out the stakes. If I win, Sen, you..."

[Carnelian] pauses, and smiles, slyly. "If I win, you have to be honest, and communicative, about the things you feel. Just for a bell. But you can't hide away during it." Senah'ra seems like he goes a little paler, but nods, not touching his cards. He speaks, after what seems like an age, and both she and [Axe] must lean forward to hear it.

"...When I win....you'll wear Maelstrom's colors. In your hair...for a month." She blinks...and nods. That seems acceptable, even if it's really lower stakes. Besides, it's not like Sen would win his first bar bet, right?

"Then the bet is on."

---

In the last fifteen minutes, [Axe] has yet to stop laughing, even after she's elbowed him in the gut. To his credit, Senah'ra had helpfully summoned the aesthetician and paid him out of his own pocket, but it still left her holding up the now bright, blood red streak of hair in front of her face.

"It's not that funny."

"It is exactly that funny, Rosie." She turns to scowl at [Axe], only to hear a faint giggle. Great. Even the moonkeeper who didn't speak was laughing at her now.

"I've never seen him so determined. You sure know how to inspire a man to win, oh captain my captain." She's halfway to just casting enough magic on him to leave him knocked out on the floor for the evening when Axe ruffles her hair as he stands to leave.

"Besides, it's not a bad color on you."

...The bloody nerve of the man, really.

Effects:
-All my friends are assholes.
-So that's why there's red in my hair.
-Notes: 'Rosie'-> probably a nickname. 'Captain'-> I'm apparently captain of something? It means I should keep my composure.
-Still, continually, questioning my taste in men.
-That is a different white-haired catboy than last time, and I'm not even going to question why he's dressed like a stripper.
